Inspired Singing Ensemble

Forté was born out of inspiration and camaraderie during a Gauteng Opera (formerly The Black Tie Ensemble & BTE VO1SS) production in 2012. Their motto is: "How can we break the rules today?" With FORTÉ, they strive to challenge the conventions of art and not confine themselves to the traditional operatic repertoire. Their inspiration encompasses all genres that ignite their passion.

Forté already looks forward to a busy performance schedule, performing regularly in Bloemfontein with the Free State Symphony Orchestra, performing frequently at prestigious corporate events through-out the country and constantly performing in Gauteng Opera productions and performances. Two of the artists recently starred in the Mozart Opera, Cosi fan tutte to critical acclaim.

Highlights for 2014 include a Mozart opera, Cosi fan tutte and a vibrant African Celebration Extravaganza, One Voice. They will also be performing with South African singer, Nianell and does a lot of Community work with schools and charities. Managed by Gauteng Opera, this vibrant group strives for good music and excellence through quality performances.
